Understanding by design - Chapter 1
In my opinion the most important and interesting part of the chapter is related with the Stages of Backward Design. This is because describes how we can act as future teachers in front of a class, with the clear intention of achieving an optimal proses of learning in the students.
In order to plan a lesson, this chapter is very useful because it is completely necessary to understand, that we as future teacher, need to resolve some questions in order to give answers before planning a class. These questions are related with the contents that we need to give to the students. Everything needs to follow the same patron in order to give to the students’ coherent and useful answers.
This exercises that we as teachers are going to do helps to achieve several goals, like evaluate ourselves and how we are working in order to develop the class. It would help us to know if we are doing the things right or wrong.
The chapter explains also that we need to focus the class to the students. It says that we need to understand that they are the principal objet in the class. This is in order to reach the main object of the curriculum and the class, achieve the knowledge in a proper way.

I think alike
ResponderEliminarfor me, the teacher have to ask first him self, what are the objectives he/she wants to reach with students, and what for. Furthermore, teachers have to also know the many contexts of students to accomodate the curriculum to them.
Very true Franco
ResponderEliminarI think that this chapter is very clear at the time to design a class or the curriculum. We have to have the main concern in the principal character of the education: STUDENTS.
I have to say that this book is going to help us to answer those questions that we have had in our pedagogical formation. Not all the questions perhaps, but some of them.
